Sacha Gendron
Teacher, healer, storyteller, and proud Metis

My mission is to make our world a better place to live by catalyzing positive change through heart-led initiatives. To help promote emotional wellness, provide support to those in need, and encourage compassion and self-care. To provide opportunities for meaningful connection, self-expression, and healing. To offer emotional safety and share the wisdom gained from my personal journey of reslience, strength and hope to comfort and support those who need it most.

Why I started my first workshop
A woman once made a healing blanket for herself while in the process of healing from her own health challenges and ended up gifting it to someone in need when she found out their husband was in the hospital trying to heal from a life threatening health issue. She saw the power of her act of kindness in the eyes of the person she gifted it to, as she watched their eyes fill with tears and felt a positive shift in their exhausted energy. She then looked to the left and saw this woman’s husband. His eyes filled with tears as he whispered to her “thank you for doing that, don’t ever change.” There was a healing that took place that day for all involved, including herself. The blanket went home with a woman who now sat with her healing blanket wrapped around her while she adjusted to her empty house that used to be full. Even though it was her husband in the hospital, she needed support and healing too. The blanket was filled with love, with comfort, and with warmth.

I was taught how to make my first healing blanket at a workshop in Peterborough, ON and I am honoured to have gifted it to a woman who needed a cozy healing hug, bringing her much needed love, support and comfort. She keeps the blanket permanently on the back of the couch, so every time she sits down, she knows she is supported and cared for. And that’s the power of a loving intention.
